New Beginnings

A Babylon local- that’s what you can call me now.

If you were to ask me this time last year where I’d be today, the picture I would have painted for you would have looked much different.

When I closed my eyes I saw a bigger apartment in NYC, a dog, a ring- among many other things.

But life doesn’t always work out according to “plan.”

I’m reminded once again that sometimes the Universe has something else in mind for us, so it’s best not to fight fate.

The easy thing to do when a situation doesn’t go your way is blame and complain- to stay stuck in the feelings of scarcity and lack.

But here’s the thing- when circumstances shake you up, YOU are the one that’s responsible for putting the pieces back together.

To keep on keepin’ on even when you want to break down because victory usually lies right on the edge of defeat.

So yesterday, I began a brand new chapter in this book called “Stormy’s Beautiful Life” and I’m eager to see what comes next.

Admittedly, this is not what I wanted, but it’s what’s happening and I know deep down that I’m exactly where I am supposed to be.

For all of you out there starting over- you’re not alone. Stay closest to things and people that make you laugh and distract you from whatever it is that’s causing you pain.

Anchor yourself in gratitude- throw yourself into your passions.

The only way out is through, and I promise when I say that this life is happening FOR you, not TO you- just gotta trust that it’ll all be worth it in the end.
